While Sydney has been hit by stormy weather – streets littered with huge branches, broken umbrellas everywhere – I have been dreaming of sandals. These ones in particular.

Last summer I lived in my Havianas, but I knew it wasn’t a good look. After a certain age, thongs away from the beach are just wrong. I tried to find sandals but I left it too late and everything nice was gone.
This season I’m getting in early. I’ve seen lots of (Northern hemisphere) women wearing the single strap sandal like this one. I like it. I’m getting them. After my recent online shopping disasters, I might go old school and buy them from the bricks and mortar store.
