Over the weekend I had a mini-break in the Hunter Valley (2 hours-ish north of Sydney). It’s an adult Disneyland. Wonderful wineries, beautiful views, and…. a dessert bar. Sabor in the Hunter. It’s in Lovedale (on the same road as Mojo’s Deli. Another favourite).

Such a great idea – a dessert bar. Just serves amazing desserts and dessert wines.  It’s open till late on the weekend. So after having dinner at one restaurant, you can pop in there on the way back to wherever you are staying. Good coffee too.

We stayed at the Blackwattle Luxury Retreat. I can highly recommend it too. Wonderful views of the vineyard and mountains in the distance. Bath by the window. Private. Lots of friendly kangaroos around. Yummy basket of goodies on arrival. L’occitane products. Great magazines. Great DVDs. A lovely fireplace.

And a dessert bar, 5 minutes away.
