I love messy braids… I think this look only works at my age if it is casual and messy.

Chloe Sevigny’s hair in issue #10 of misbehave:

The “Loose Hairline Braid” – Part your hair deep and on the side, then braid a wide section across your hairline. Secure with crisscrossed pins low on the back of the head, and gather the rest of your hair into a messy knot.

One of my quick fixes is to loosely braid my hair and heavily line my eyes – kind of like this:

The “Double French Braid” – Part the hair in the center and divide into three sections. Twist the middle portion back, leaving the sides out. Then, loosely French braid the two side sections to the nape of the neck before wrapping them into a chignon with the rest of your hair:
