Back to Work – home office ideas

Our current home office is an unsightly mess. I’m looking for ideas for how to either hide the mess or have a separate room just for work.

This half cupboard arrangement is one option that would work for us. Mostly when we work from home we don’t want to be off in a separate room, but when friends come over the mess can be hidden away:
