Of all the photos from The Met Ball this is the one that fascinates me:

Anna Wintour, the most powerful woman in fashion, and her daughter. It fascinates me because I’d love to know what’s going on, and what they are thinking.

Is this a proud mother glad that her daughter is in the spotlight? Is it a fashion expert admiring an Alexander McQueen dress? Is it age giving way to youth and beauty?

I don’t know, but it is amazing to see her taking the back seat like this.
