Menocore

I stumbled across the concept of Menocore here and here, which seems to be a mix of Normcore, COVID wear and comfort dressing.

It is […] the appearance of women going through their second adolescence because their children left the house which is why they now find time for themselves and whatever makes them happy – pottery courses, silk painting, nude art, climbing or learning Spanish, for instance.

it’s only logical that we would want our clothing reflect ease, maturity and confidence

For me, Menocore is a combination of comfort dressing and wearing what sparks joy. Both are about making yourself happy and not caring if it looks attractive as long as it makes you happy.

Some days, elasticated pants depress me. Other days, there’s no way I’m wearing jeans.

I think the key is to be comfortable in your own skin.
