How did I get this list?

These are blogs that met my criteria.

 Basic criteria:

– it was a STYLE blog (this meant that lots of awesome blogs I found were culled because they were too diary-ish).
– the blog wasn’t half filled with ads or broken links or used some 90’s template.
– the blog was updated in the last fortnight and is updated more than once a month
– each blog entry didn’t start: sorry I’ve been busy

Plus:
– either I found myself reading each entry
– or I loved the images (there was good photography or great outfits)
– or there were links to shopping items or funny stories that matched my taste.

I had to get honest and cull blogs that I just knew I wouldn’t regularly read, though that doesn’t mean they aren’t awesome. I just didn’t connect with them.

Thank you ladies.

  1. Thank you so much for the mention! I am in the middle of a new design and switch to WordPress, so things are kind of off the norm at the moment, but I am trying to minimize the downtime as much as possible. Looking forward to checking out some suggestions for new blog reads!

  2. Thanks for the list and for including Fabulous After 40. This is a very handy way to get to know bloggers in our niche, which is expanding like crazy!

  3. Wow! Great list. I can’t believe I hadn’t heard of most of these blogs!. I’m like a kid in a candy store. I can’t wait to visit them and learn new ideas for my 40-something style. 🙂

    Thanks for compiling.

  5. I started a blog of my own with a friend and getting onto useful lists like this, really is the dream. My own blog goes from helping guide and teaches those that are really unsure about fashion, all the way through to putting together style and lifestyle guides.

    Thanks a lot

  6. Wow! It’s so heartening to see beautiful and confident 40+ women, also refusing to succumb to styling obscurity. Styling is a powerful way to express our personalities, and our personalities become richer with age don’t you think? After nearly falling into the invisibility trap, I’ve bounced back fighting; for more media recognition, for inspiring other women to wear what the hell they like, regardless of age or body type. Would love for others to support my cause so our voices can be louder 😃 I’m in the process of building a blog website however for now you can find me on Insta @frockageing 💖
